Shmuel Kantorovitz

Shmuel Kantorovitz has a Master's degree in mathematics from the Hebrew University in ‎Jerusalem and a PhD in mathematics from the University of Minnesota. He taught for ‎many years in various American universities, including Princeton, Yale, and the ‎University of Illinois at Chicago. He later returned to Israel, where he joined the faculty ‎of Bar Ilan University as a professor of mathematics for thirty-one years. He is currently ‎a professor emeritus at Bar Ilan University and lives in Israel.‎

His academic specialty is Operator Theory. He has published over fifty articles in ‎mathematical journals and seven books mostly at the graduate and research levels.‎

He and his late wife Ita have four children, twelve grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.‎
