John Gillett

John Gillett is an octogenarian caver, walker, retired chemical engineer and writer who lives in Gawsworth Cheshire. He is a widower with one daughter, two grand-daughters and three sisters, all of whom contribute to his writing. His books 'Sixty Years of Caves and Caving' and 'A Bedside Book for Older Cavers' are considered to be classics in caving circles. His poetry and other books reveal an active interest in the spiritual life. All of the proceeds from his books are donated to The East Cheshire Hospice.
