Ryan Thorpe

Dr. Ryan Thorpe is from Texas and is an endowed associate teaching professor of writing at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Global College where he is also the director of its writing program and its writing center. He is the executive director of Inkwell, a non-profit literary group with locations around China, and he enjoys teaching, writing poems, essays, and novels, and can often be found walking around Shanghai late at night or lounging around a coffeeshop with a book. He is passionate about Shanghai history, used book stores, whisky, darts, and traveling to new places.
