Deb Hamel uses her child-like creativity, sense of humor & imagination to write stories of her own outdoor learning experiences, but from the point of view of an inquisitive little girl.

After numerous strokes changed her way of thinking, Hamel found she had a different imagination than before and an enhanced love of life, learning and storytelling.

Hamel has shown an extraordinary passion to give of her time and talents, through public service, for over 40 years. She has earned an impeccable reputation as a leader, writer, orator, philanthropic volunteer, and a tenacious advocate for children.
