I have always enjoyed writing and researching, whether it be for holidays or hobbies or the like. My book, Cult Son, Family Crisis, was started shortly after the conclusion of the story. I needed to lay ghosts and so I created a timeline of all the material gathered, letters sent and received and notes made, and eventually it all morphed into the book. It then lay dormant for many years but eventually technology made it easy to publish it via Kindle and Amazon Books. This is an incredibly useful media as it gives someone like me the opportunity to reach out to others who may find themselves in the same situation, and like me in the beginning, not knowing which way to turn for help. Finding my son was involved in a religious cult, thousands of miles away from home, was shocking and frightening. The internet did not exist as it does now so people had to be found who could give good advice. The hardest part then was to follow that advice to the letter, even though it went against everything you would normally wish to do. I want others who need help to follow the tried and trusted method that we used to get our son home and out of the clutches of the Unification Church. It could just as easily have been any Cult group. The approach needs to be the same.
I live in the UK and am now retired. My hobbies are photography and cookery and I love to travel and discover new places.
