Margo Carey

Margo Carey’s inspiration for "The Convent House," first in the Watcher Clan series, arose when she lived and worked in Rhode Island listening to stories about the origins of the large stone tower in Newport’s Touro Park. One fascinating theory credits the Knights Templar as the architects. That idea piqued Margo’s imagination, and she created a family of Templar descendants gifted with special powers to guard their ancestor's treasure and protect the innocent.

Her novel, "Trace of Evil," evolved from haunting memories in Margo's childhood home near Salem, Massachusetts. It combines her interest in all things ghostly, the Salem witch trials, and her memories of managing a senior living facility. Although Dani's narrative springs solely from Margo's own twisted imagination, she loves to hear personal stories about encounters with the supernatural.

She now lives in Florida with her husband and an easily spooked black cat named Sammy. Happily, no ghosts—yet!

Wild Rose Press will publish "The Amulet," the second book in the Watcher Clan series, in the summer of 2025.
