Daniel Fernandez

Hi, my name is Dan and I am the author of How Frugal Frank Got What He Wanted. I never thought I would be an author. I still can't believe it. It all happened pretty quickly after my final failed attempt at finding a decent kids book about money, self improvement and/or mindset to share with my children.

Thankfully, I have been reading, listening to, and digesting nothing but self improvement and personal finance books since I graduated from college in 2005. I took all of the lessons that I learned and practiced and did my best to distill them into a book that kids and grown ups could learn from.

I live in Virginia Beach with my wife Mandy, our two kids, Madison and Tyler and our two dogs. I am a graduate of James Madison University and University of Maryland Global Campus. I quickly realized that I hated the corporate world and joined the Fire Department. It's been one of the best decisions that I've ever made.
