Stephen K Sims

Author Stephen Sims served as program director of a drug rehabilitation center in his native Montreal, and later, as director of a hospitality house for the homeless. Growing out of this experience, Steve set up an awareness education foundation to foster personal transformation – to encourage physical wellness, emotional literacy, and spiritual realization. Over a lifetime, he has led vision quests, support groups and small interactive learning circles to stimulate self-inquiry. Wilderness adventure outings have played an integral part in his awareness education projects – Steve himself is an ardent canoe enthusiast.

Steve also initiated dialogues with educators and community development workers throughout the Eastern Himalayas. This cross-cultural experience was the catalyst for him to begin writing, and to establish an interdisciplinary wisdom forum to study diverse healing arts, transformational sciences, and the teachings of different spiritual traditions.
