Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim is a Professor of Curriculum and Instruction and Director of the Master of Education in Instructional Design & Technology program at Arkansas Tech University's College of Education and Health. He received his Ph.D. in Educational Technology from Oklahoma State University.
Dr. Ibrahim has over 20 years of experience teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in educational technology, instructional design, curriculum development, and research methods. His areas of expertise include online learning, multimedia design, flipped classroom strategies, project-based learning, and integrating emerging technologies into teaching.
Dr. Ibrahim is actively engaged in research on enhancing student learning outcomes and motivation through technology integration, metacognition, and multimedia design. He has presented his scholarly work at major conferences including AERA, SITE, Ed Media, ASEE and ISEC. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Learning, Media and Technology; Journal of Computing Sciences in Colleges; and International Journal of E-Learning.
At Arkansas Tech, Dr. Ibrahim serves on several university committees focused on curriculum, faculty development, and student success initiatives. He mentors undergraduate researchers and is the academic advisor for student organizations.
Dr. Ibrahim has secured internal and external grant funding to support his research and professional development activities. He is also an active member of leading education organizations such as AERA, ASEE, and ArATE. Through his diverse academic roles, he aims to empower educators and students to leverage technology for impactful teaching and learning.
