I grew up by the shores of Lake Winnebago and the Fox River in Wisconsin. In my early years I shied away from reading and writing. It wasn't till I went on to technical collage that I was formally diagnosed with dyslexia. Learning this brought new perspective to my life.
After I was diagnosed, I started to read more and more. My newly found love of reading eventually turned into writing little, short stories here and there. Stories though I always kept to myself. I was ashamed of my dyslexia back then. In my head it was like I could read with no flaws, but out loud or when I had to show my writing, that was a whole new story... Anxiety kicked in and kicked in hard.
Over the years I started to accept my flaws and decided to not let them hold me back anymore. With the push from my sister, who has always stood behind my writing, I took a leap of faith and sent out my first book out into the world.
