Deepthi has always been passionate about books and movies. Growing up listening to the stories read out to her by her mother, she chose English literature for her higher studies as well. She currently works as an associate editor in Booksthakam publishing house. When she decided to start publishing her written works, she thought she would start from where her life began. Thus, the book 'A 90's Souvenir: The vivid memories of a '90s kid' was born, a collection of short stories, the plots of which are inspired from various incidents that happened in her life.

She has formerly published a poem 'Night' in the Indian chapter of the magazine ASLE and an article 'The Caste of Food' - Caste in Modern Kerala as Portrayed in the Short Film "Panthibhojanam" in the book - Dalit Literature, Art and Aesthetics: The Kerala Experience. She is also writing study guides for Kerala University degree students. She is the author of the book 'Companion to Global Voices and Cultures', which is a study aid for Kerala University fourth semester General English course.
