Dr. Will Ryan

Dr. Will Ryan (Bensheimer) serves as President of The King’s Commission School of Divinity (TKC) and co-hosts the theology YouTube channel Expedition 44, which has over 140,000 subscribers. He is the author of the This Is the Way trilogy, which reached the top 50 Christian theology books on Amazon.

Dr. Ryan has been an ordained minister (Non-Denominational and Free Will Baptist) for over 25 years. He has planted three churches, taught in more than 30 countries, and serves on the boards of several mission organizations. He also leads an organic church in Wisconsin called the TOV Community.

Dr. Ryan earned Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible and Education from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, which at the time was the educational center for Jews for Jesus. He also studied Ancient History and the Arts at the Art Institute of Chicago. He later earned master’s degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and Administration from the University of Wisconsin and pursued a Ph.D. in Classical and Ancient Near Eastern Studies, focusing on Hebrew and working closely with the Lubar Institute for the Study of the Abrahamic Religions until its closure in 2016. He holds a Th.D. from Covenant Theological Seminary and is a fellow at Harvard University.
