ID Simpson

Martha J. Ross-Rodgers, a native of Memphis, Tennessee, now resides in Chesapeake, Virginia. A passionate and dynamic motivational speaker, she also serves as the co-owner of Jireh Publishers. She holds a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership with a specialization in Educational Technology.

She began her career in Early Childhood Education, where she found her purpose in sparking a lifelong love of learning in young minds. She believes that igniting curiosity and a passion for learning early in life is essential to a child's long-term academic and personal growth.

Committed to honoring her heritage, she writes under the pen name ID Simpson, her mother's maiden name. She credits her mother for instilling in her a strong belief in the power of education from an early age and views her work as part of a continuing legacy.

Her latest book, I'm Different. SO WHAT?!, follows Ace, a bulldog who relocates with his Navy family to a new neighborhood. When faced with teasing from other dogs, Ace learns to stand up for himself and embrace what makes him unique.

The book includes a companion workbook with engaging activities such as comprehension questions, word searches, and mazes. With a Lexile Measure of 620L, it is designed for readers 4 to 99. Its uplifting message encourages both children and adults to celebrate their individuality with boldness and pride: I'm Different. SO WHAT?!
