William Bragi

William Joy Bragi is a character that was created by me, Michael Thomas, a long time ago. This character was invented to write and say things that I didn't feel comfortable writing as a younger man. Nowadays, I spend less time arguing with other critics and poets and more time worrying about what is important. In my newest book, Atheist and Empty Spaces, poor William is laid to rest in a poem called "Youth and Age." I still have some unrevised poems about Will that might show up later, but, William Joy Bragi is no longer much of a factor in what I do. By the way, the picture is me. --Sincerely, Michael Thomas
