Leonardo Tonini was born in Castiglione delle Stiviere (MN) in 1974. A poet, editor and cultural operator, he has written about Ungaretti, Deleuze, Pinter, Spinoza, Sloterdijk and others. He has published short stories and poems in Italy and abroad. He is a co-founder of the Movimento Sannixista. In 2015 he won the Virgilio Masciadri Prize (Aarau, CH) for cultural promotion. In 2018, for the Heinrich Böll Foundation, he was a guest in the author's house on Achill Island, Ireland. In 2019, one of his poems set to music by Maestro Stefano Ghisleri was performed in Stockholm during the Italian Language Week. He has published in Switzerland, where he has been a regular guest at the Seetaler Poesiesommer Festival for years. He edits a literary criticism column for the magazine Avamposto. He translated Le Bestiaire ou Cortège d'Orphée for Lorusso Editore and published a collection of short stories for Delos.
