Louis Bamberger

Louis Bamberger bought his first property in 2007 with no intention of becoming a landlord. He wanted to just live in it like a normal person.

However, a move to London to be closer to work meant he started renting out his property, thus becoming an “accidental” landlord. And for the most part, he loved it.

Over the subsequent years, he quickly expanded his portfolio of rental properties after seeing the long-term financial benefits these offered.

Initially using high street agents to manage these properties, he grew frustrated with their ever-growing fees. While he wouldn’t want to appear greedy, he did want more money to justify the work he was putting in, so he switched to being a self-managing landlord and hasn’t looked back since.

As a tenant himself, he is uniquely positioned to see both sides of property rental—that of a landlord and a tenant. This perspective has allowed him to build a thriving property business while providing good quality, affordable homes for his satisfied tenants to live in.

Louis is a qualified accountant and works full-time in Financial Services in London. He lives with his wife and two young kids in Surrey. He occasionally exercises, enjoys drinking a chilled beverage, and on rare occasions is able to get a full night’s sleep.
