Maylee Curtis is a queer award-winning author of Burnt Matches. She has been weaving emotions into words since 2016. The release of “Burnt Matches” in 2022 marked a significant milestone in her writing journey, cementing her place as a best-selling poet. Her works revolve around heartbreak and the intoxicating sensation of falling in love. For Maylee, writing is not just an art—it's therapy. It's about sharing her past emotional experiences in hopes of healing others and comforting souls who might be grappling with the unspoken turmoil of their past.

Away from her poetic world, Maylee serves in the United States Army. She is a testament to the fact that one can be both a warrior and a poet. Currently, she continues to balance her duties in the military while passionately pursuing her writing career.
