Captain Vincent Trovato

Vincent Trovato was born in Baltimore, Maryland USA very close to the Harbor The section known as “Little Italy” on June, 12, 1944. He is 78 years old. He is married with four daughters. a professional Musician, a Pilot, U.S.C.G. Master Captain, Journalist, and entrepreneur. Captain Vince has owned two marinas, a waterfront campground in Florida, and various retail stores, including Mens Clothing, a Latex bedding products store, and exporter of women’s bathing suits to the Bahama Islands. In his mid years he was involved in Restaurant Management at Schooners Marina and Restaurant in Oxford, Maryland. In the 1980’s and 1990’s the Captain Chartered his CSY 44 in Baltimore Harbor first, then in St. Michaels, Md. where he lived in a 200 year old waterfront home on the town Harbor. The captain has owned several motorhomes in recent years and worked as a retail sales consultant in the early 2000’s. He has also developed residential properties, and owned a 70 acre Horse farm with race track in Easton, Maryland from 1997 to 2021.

He has made 76 Passages on the Atlantic Intra Coastal Waterway, raced on both US coasts, raced to Bermuda, written two novels, short story compilations, two boating guidebooks, and numerous short stories from his three log books.

The captain has cruised the Bahamas for fifty years as a private yachtsman and Charter Boat Captain. For 44 years he has skippered the families CSY 44 ft. sailboat known as FOOTLOOSE”. together we have sailed the Atlantic Coast from the Chesapeake Bay to Florida and the Bahama Islands. .The capaain and his wife now live on the Neuse River in New Bern North Carolina
