Elaha Amir

Elaha was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, and grew up in the Netherlands, where she obtained her BBA in Human Resources and Quality Management. Her home is currently in Italy. Elaha is a passionate children's author, educator, and dedicated mother whose mission is deeply inspired by her personal experiences.

As a mother of two beautiful multilingual kids and a full-time educator to her twelve-year-old son with special needs, Elaha knows firsthand the challenges parents face in finding educational materials tailored to unique learning abilities. During the first covid lockdown she managed to carefully craft a learning program for her son, which resulted in his initial progress. It was also during this period of time when her writing journey began.

Aiming to create realistically depicted essential life skills through clear, visual storytelling, Elaha first launched the Play-Learn-Laugh with Maya series. Her books are intentionally designed to cater not only to early learners, but also to children who face specific learning difficulties. Through her Play-Learn-Laugh with Maya series, Elaha creates stories that provide relatable illustrations and interactive activities that provide simple ways to learn the basic connectors of the language.

By combining practicality with a sense of fun, Elaha encourages families to take short yet impactful moments from their daily routines to engage and learn together. Looking to the future, Elaha is committed to developing more educational tools that are both enjoyable and genuinely helpful, supporting children in mastering everyday skills through creativity, play, and through their unique learning abilities.
