Dr Gina May is an experienced online tutor as well as an Independent Course Provider and Online and Blended Teaching and Learning Consultant for schools and universities. She is an Associate Lecturer in the Classical Studies Department of the Open University and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Particular interests are academic practice and developing the skills of those learning and teaching online.
Gina did her undergraduate degree as a mature student at the University of Kent and was then awarded funding to complete her Doctoral research through the Graduate Teacher Assistant Scheme. She worked as an Associate Lecturer in the Classical & Archaeology Department in the School of European Culture and Languages for three years during which time she completed her PGCHE teaching qualification and wrote several modules for the department, including the compulsory first year module on Academic Practice. Research interests include Greek comedy and tragedy, Greek and Roman myth, ancient sexuality and witchcraft.
