Manuel F. Varela

Manuel F. Varela is Professor Emeritus of Biology at ENMU. He has a Ph.D. in biomedical sciences with an emphasis in molecular biology and biochemistry from the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center and was a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard Medical School. His research interests include studies of bacterial multidrug efflux pumps. He has published eight books and is writing new ones.
