Dr Shagun Thakur

The author is working as a Faculty of Forensic Medicine at a Medical College in Bhubaneswar.

A native of Himachal Pradesh, she has done part of her schooling from Kasauli. After doing her high school education in Chandigarh, she moved to Bhubaneswar, where she completed her graduate and postgraduate studies. She has done her MBBS and MD from HMCH (Utkal University) and KIMS (KIIT University) respectively, in Bhubaneswar.

She is an extrovert by nature and loves meeting new people and learning from their experiences. An empathetic person by nature, people open up their hearts to her and she loves to help people in need.

She is a keen observer and believes most of the communication is non-verbal. The nature, although silent in creation, speaks a lot if you have the skill to observe properly. She loves animals and has a pet dog "Soul", an Italian mastiff, who is an inseparable part of her life.

Born to a mother who is an Arts teacher, creativity has been imbibed in her right from her childhood. Apart from story-telling, her other interests are painting (acrylic), listening to music, learning guitar and taking out time for physical exercise. She loves to travel, learn about other cultures, try local cuisines and visit structures of historical importance. A firm believer in the existence of almighty, she believes The One is taking care of everything on the planet and surrenders to His wishes.
