My name is Steven Earl Robinson, born on September 11, 1988. Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Reading was always huge in my house hold, my mom had a unique way of getting me and all of my other siblings excited to read and write. This started at the early age of 7, I began to read countless books and my mom would have me write book reports on them. I continued that love of reading and writing all throughout school, where I attended Audubon Middle School and Crenshaw High School both located in Los Angeles, CA. After graduating from high school in 2006, I attended the University of Houston, where I obtained my Bachelors Degree in Communications in 2010.
The inspiration for my first book came from being a Dean of Students at a high-performing charter school in South Los Angeles, CA. I was the Dean of Students at that school for 4 years. I learned so much about myself and also what the future of our nation needs the most, which is understanding, respect and someone who is not going to give up on them.
My objective for reaching out to you and your school is to create an encouraging conversation for your school to look into purchasing some copies as well as possibly adding it to your ELA curriculum.
