Joanna Edmondson

Joanna Edmondson is a alabama based artist and illustrator. She graduated from the University of Montevallo with a Bachelors in Fine Arts. Joanna creates in her at home studio under the alias Ethereal Realms - a name which fully reflects the nature of her art. Her paintings portray colorful other worldly bursting with life nature scenes. Joanna loves to paint flowers, insects, and animals, but she really loves butterflies most of all. With her art she wants to give viewers a moment of beauty and the ability to get lost in the small details. Joanna is inspired by an illustration her mother bought for her as a child titled “The Critters XLI.” This is a “where is it?” drawing full of little insects such as bees and butterflies to find. She likes to create the same effect in her own paintings for her viewers. Joanna is also inspired by growing up at the lake, and spending time with her nature loving family on trips to national parks.
