Hello, I'm Isabell

As a child I loved colorful books! I liked the ones that had a sentence written with words and then with a picture. But then the day came when the teacher said: „From now on we will only read books with words. Pictures are for children.“

That was also the day I stopped reading.

Now, many years later, I'm reading again, of course. But I also know what made me stop reading all my school years. That's why I painted a children's book that's just fun. First of all, I changed the format and made a comic, because that's much cooler. Then I invented particularly cheeky main characters, because all children like to read stories about little rascals. I mixed all that with big letters and huge colorful pictures (take THAT! stupid teacher!). This resulted in Vincent and Joshi, a children's comic for children who don't really like reading or who have reading difficulties.

Because I believe that all children enjoy reading. Children want to learn and discover and it is our job to support them in this.

As a self-publisher, I implemented and financed the entire project, a bit in the Vincent & Joshi mentality: just do it and take unusual paths.

That's why I'm all the more pleased that you're here today. Because from the first drawing to the finished comic it was a very nice way and I am happy that you are now a part of it.

Now I wish you a lot of fun with the two cheeky little ones! May the two best friends bring a lot of joy to every child's room and home.
