Dr Michael Mosley

Dr Michael Mosley is a No. 1 international bestselling author and journalist. He trained as a doctor at the Royal Free Hospital in London before joining the BBC, where he spent three decades as a science journalist and executive producer.

He first became interested in intermittent fasting when he discovered, through a random blood test, that he had type 2 diabetes. On a mission to find a drug-free way to ‘cure’ his diabetes, Michael Mosley tested a number of different forms of intermittent fasting before settling on the 5:2.
