Steffen Dobbert

Steffen Dobbert, born in Wismar, lived in Odesa and Kyiv as a fellow of the International Journalism Programme. Since 2011, more than fifty research trips have taken him to various parts of Ukraine and Russia. He studied economics and European studies in Vaasa, Finland, in Lübeck and Berlin (Master of European Studies). Since 2007 he has worked as an author and editor for Die Zeit. He is considered an expert on the EU, Eastern Europe and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. He has been awarded the German Reporter Prize, among others, for his work as an author.
