Marissa DeAngelis

Marissa DeAngelis grew up in Atlantic Beach, New York and graduated from The University of Maryland with a B.A. in journalism (though she will tell you that she picked the wrong college and the wrong major). After she graduated, she worked as an editor and copywriter in Manhattan for way too many years before moving to Los Angeles to finish her first book, The Binge Watcher's Guide to The Golden Girls. This 80s sitcom wasn't just something she enjoyed as a child, but implanted an idea that stuck in her head forever; that women could live full, fun lives after the age of 40 (or 50/60/80). She plans to write another book (or many books), as long as she's writing something. She also loves old movies, diners, sushi, sleeping till noon on the weekends, and romantic walks on the beach.
