I am a retired teacher living in the South West of England. I specialise in writing books about my football club - Everton.. I supported them through growing up in Wallasey on the opposite bank of the River Mersey to the city of Liverpool and directly facing the new stadium at Bramley Moore. My first book -'Everton: the fans born not manufactured' was about the roots of the club's fan-base from the late 19th century up to the present day. My second book will looked at how the club has gradually been eclipsed as the dominant footballing force on Merseyside by Liverpool over the 60 years I have been supporting Everton. This book is called - ‘Liverpool Football Club Ruined My Life Sixty Years of Supporting Everton’. It was published in February 2024. It was a much more autobiographical book covering my years of supporting the club and looking at some of the major events in current affairs during those years. My third book - 'Bramley Moore Dock From Slavery to Football at the New Home of Everton FC' was published in February 2025. It charts the history of both the stadium site and the port of Liverpool. It also examines the link between John Bramley Moore, as well as the city and the club, to slavery. My fourth book 'Everton FC and St Domingo's Church How Religion Transformed Football's looks at how the church helped spread football from the playing fields of English public schools to the inner cities and the rest of the world it looks at how religion distanced itself from football in the early 20thc and has reconnected to it more recently. It also examined whether St. Domingo's Church really did found Everton FC
