J C Brice was born in San Diego, California where she attended private and public school. She attended the University of Southern California (USC) for four years where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration. While at USC she collaborated with six other women and became charter members of the Theta Epsilon Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.
Upon graduation she returned to San Diego and worked in the private industry (Aerospace) then worked for two State of California Agencies. After 17 years, she attended San Diego State University to acquire Teacher Education Certification and began teaching in 1999. After a few years to avoid a layoff in San Diego the family moved to the Las Vegas area to teach from which she recently retired for health reasons.
Writing has always been the fabric of J C both professionally and personally. She's written many short and full length documents not only for her presentations and records but upon others request. For six months she wrote for a local newspaper and considers her favorite article was her interview with the late basketball player and jazz bass guitarist Wayman Tisdale at a holiday concert in San Diego.
J C considers being a mother to her two sons and grandmother of five grandchildren as a favorite title. Her mother passed when she was three so their existence and accomplishments are a prize to her as she can actually see and converse with them. She enjoys watching sports including ML Baseball (Been a SD Padres fan since they joined the Major League in 1969!), NFL (Steel Curtain fan since 1974 and hoping to watch them play in 10 degree weather at past Heinz now Acrisure Stadium) and of course College Football (No one calls me if they know me when Trojan Football is on or I'm there!).
Boredom is not a word J C dwells on in her life. She is an avid globe and map collector, likes traveling both domestically and internationally, collecting globes connecting with friends, reading, watching good movies - especially from the 1930s-1960s, collecting, and listening to music. However, her daily sustenance is to study The Holy Bible and other references especially the maps during biblical times. Her faith is what keeps her moving even on the days when it is hard to do it.
She will continue to write and looks forward to creating texts that can be an inspiration to readers. On the days when the confusion in life takes over her suggestion is to "take a deep breath, pray, then hum your favorite lines of a song that makes you happiest!"
