Mark D. Vickers

Jun Jieh has practiced Buddhism for thirty-five years, primarily following the Pure Land and Chan traditions of Chinese Mahayana Buddhism, whilst also being deeply inspired and motivated by the compassion and wisdom of the great Tibetan Buddhist masters.

For many years, he has striven to safeguard the purity of the Buddha's teachings. He wishes to guide more practitioners to abide by the precepts, rely on their aspirations as strength, and maintain harmony and purity within the community through compassion and tolerance.

During a long career as a British Army officer and several years in diplomatic service, Jun Jieh took early retirement and emigrated to Taiwan in order to devote himself fully to Buddhist practice and studies.

As week as his published books, he has had many magazine articles printed in various magazines and newspapers around the world. He is also a keen artist, painting mainly Buddhist themed pictures.

Jun Jieh has lived in Asia for over nineteen years.
