Lance Hyden

Self-proclaimed World Famous Author Lance Hyden, with over 38 million words sold, was built on the assembly lines in the mean, or better yet, high-spirited streets of Detroit, Michigan. Starting his high school years during the best decade ever… the 80s, he would trade the miserable cold snowy days of the midwest for a much cheerful warmer sunny southwest climate by moving to Phoenix, Arizona with his father. After graduating from high school…barely, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp, easy ladies he’s married. He served his beloved country during the Gulf War and Los Angeles riots, you’re welcome! Once his time in the Marines came to end, he moved from the beautiful California west coast back to the gloomy grey skies of Michigan, what a dumbass, to attend Eastern Michigan University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Film. However, during his 4 years of college, the warmth of the west kept calling him back, or maybe it was the frozen snot from his nose telling him to leave. Only a couple of months after walking across the stage receiving his bachelor’s diploma…barely, he moved back to Phoenix with some college friends. He now resides in Mesa, Arizona at the Hyden Hideaway with his beautiful Welsh wife, Deb, and their combined 4 boys (Carter, Preston, Ben, and Jacob). He has a passion for movies, binge-watching tv shows, and writing stories…Duh!

He has three published books, "Tales from the H1d3away", "East Haven", and "Tale Gate". He also has three short stories published in a collection of short story books: "Irrational Fears", "ODDisms", and "Renegades of Prose". Thank you!
