Mr Stuart Dutton

Stuart Dutton is a Scottish author whose work spans dark mystery, personal journeys and practical non-fiction. His latest novel, LOT 27: Some Things Should Never Come Under the Hammer, is a gothic Edinburgh mystery involving antiques, hidden histories and a disappearance buried for decades.

A VII-Degree Taekwon-Do Master, lifelong martial artist and writer, Stuart draws on discipline, human behaviour and lived experience to create books with atmosphere, humour and emotional truth. Stuart began writing as a way to capture the lessons, humour, and stories that shaped him.

His books range from practical martial arts guides to deeply personal reflections, cultural insights, and unapologetically blunt humour. Whether he’s breaking down black belt patterns, exploring the psychology of fear and strategy, or creating a chaotic diary designed to make people laugh, Stuart writes with a voice shaped by real life — not theory.

Stuart continues to teach, create, and write about the things he knows best: resilience, movement, mindset, and human behaviour. His work invites readers to think a little deeper, train a little harder, and sometimes, just laugh at the madness of it all.
