ROB LEZCANO

Rob Lezcano is an author, songwriter, and the creative force behind That Beach Sound Cartel. Raised in South Florida, his work draws from Miami’s Cuban-American culture, California surf imagery, country storytelling, and experiences that sometimes sound too strange to be true.

His memoir, Sunflower Yellow – Memories of a Latin Lover, is a raw, humorous coming-of-age story. His fiction ranges from the myth-driven Hula Girl adventures to the supernatural Western The Devil’s Bull Rider – Boone McBride, the speculative mystery The Island, and the Irish magic of O’Dooly’s Pub & Church.

Through That Beach Sound Cartel, Rob extends his storytelling into coastal Americana, surf rock, country soul, and Afro-Cuban rhythm. Some songs grow from his books; others come from true events, history, and irresistible lyrical ideas.
