Peter Steyn

Peter has travelled to over 122 countries around the world and photographed some of its most scenic places which encouraged him to launch his now widely-read travel magazine, GlobeRovers. He has also published several books showcasing his photographs of the places he has visited and people he has met on his travels.

Born in South Africa, Peter has lived in Canada, and for a short time in Sweden, but is now based in Hong Kong and Thailand. He regularly travels to the islands of Thailand where Hammie’s adventures take place, and has written a definitive guide for visitors to the islands in Issue 17 of GlobeRovers Magazine.

Peter is a true animal lover with a strong interest in wildlife conservation and protection and enjoys photographing wildlife. He has wanted to write a children’s book featuring his pet gecko (Lizzy) for a long time, and now his dream has come true.
