Though retired from a career in architectural illustration of over forty years (thirty-five years in his own firm) Rene Thibault continues to actively paint and exhibit his watercolors and acrylics, as he has for over thirty years. He has been the recipient of many exhibition awards, both nationally and internationally.

The numerous examples included in his book "Linear Perspective Simply Put" are illustrations and paintings selected from his personal archives, accumulated over the many years. This book expertly outlines how combining linear perspective with artistic license can be a valuable tool in visualizing three-dimensional forms. As the author has noted, the book's goal is to inform and inspire by simplifying key aspects of perspective.

Rene Thibault lives in Calgary, Alberta, where he shares life's moments with his wife Jean.
