While engaged in the mining business and sometimes just for the adventure, the author has visited many of the countries found in this book, only about 3000 years after the events listed here. From pulling gold from the ground in the Yukon to explorations in Patagonia, Guiana, Zimbabwe and Tanzania, the experiences shared have taught me one thing, most everybody in the world wants the same things. Freedom from want, a better world for their children, and peace with their fellow man. It's not too much to ask. In this my first book, I intend to show how ambition, avarice, and acquisition of treasures from others will not give lasting happiness. Follow the adventures of soldiers of fortune, who explore and exploit many of the countries the author has visited. Will they remember their humanity, or become barbarians with their unchallenged power? Who is Gregory and what does he want?
