Ronen Shefer

Ronen Shefer is a founding partner of the consulting firm ROCG and has served as the managing partner since its inception in 2004. Ronen has an extensive accounting and finance background but often likes to describe himself as a 'recovering CPA'.

Born and raised in Israel, Ronen moved to the United States when he was in his early twenties. While starting his career as a CPA, Ronen recognized early on that business owners were seeking a level of advice they were not getting from the profession at the time. Business owners no longer wanted accountant to simply be scorekeepers, they needed help with their business challenges too, and they wanted someone who is willing to take the journey alongside them. That observation was the beginning of a mission that started with a simple principal in mind, that "every client we take on is a business we lose sleep on, just like their owners."

As a result, and for almost three decades, Ronen has specialized in guiding entrepreneurs and business owners through their unique challenges of owning their businesses. Ronen continues to believe that each client is unique and that, nowadays, they not only require business advisory and planning, but they also need someone to help oversee the successful implementation of these plans in a manner that fits their unique circumstances.

When he is not working with clients, you can find Ronen speaking throughout the country on business growth strategies and successful exit planning. he has authors several articles in business publication covering common business ownership challenges. Finally, Ronen is also known to volunteer his time to assist small business and startup with their planning process including serving on their advisory boards from time to time.
