Iris Law

Iris Law is an author, health and wellness practitioner, and specialist in Japanese wellbeing practices. She has traveled around Japan for over 25 years, studying and experiencing Japanese approaches to wellbeing, grounded in a deep understanding of its culture and traditions.

Having spent two decades in the stressful environment of investment banking, Iris understands how exhausting life can be due to work, urban stress, and challenges in our personal lives. Her wellness journey led her to explore Japanese practices such as onsen bathing, seasonal rhythm, nature immersion, and everyday rituals that support restoration and balance.

Iris' work bridges traditional Japanese practices with the realities of modern life: she leads wellness retreats in Japan. Her books include The Onsen Experience: A Guide to Japan's Hot Spring Sanctuaries published in 2020 (Man Mo Media), and The Book of Japanese Self-Care (forthcoming Oct 2026, CICO Books).
