Jothy Rosenberg

Jothy’s memoir, "Who Says I Can’t", deals with the challenge and adversity of losing his leg to bone cancer at age16, then the cancer metastasized and he had to have a lung removed at 19 when he was told he had zero percent chance of surviving. But he conquered and went on to get a PhD in computer science, was a serial entrepreneur starting nine high-tech startups, has authored three technical books, was a TED speaker, and became an extreme athlete. He cannot even count how many times people were certain he couldn’t do something that he then went on to do such as biking with just one leg from Boston to New York City three times, becoming a black-diamond amputee skier, and doing the Alcatraz Sharkfest swim 28 times. He learned to never say CAN'T and to adapt to and work hard at whatever he wanted to accomplish. It is the adapt, focus, work hard attributes that he most wants to convey to kids through Adventures on the Can Do Trail. Who Says He Can't!

Jothy lives in Wayland, Massachusetts with his wife Carole and Golden Retriever Harper
