Catherine Ward is a children's author and geographer, with a passion for the natural world and wildlife conservation. She spends her time dreaming up picture book ideas, surrounded by piles and piles of... you guessed it... picture books. Catherine particularly loves writing stories of hope which will inspire children to care for and spend time in the natural world.
With previous experience working in primary schools across key stages 1 and 2, Catherine loves connecting with children about her books through school visits and events.
When she isn’t writing, you might find her searching for more book treasure down at the library, working in her family’s wildlife-friendly garden, enjoying time at a nature reserve, reading an ever-growing pile of nonfiction nature and conservation books or watching documentaries about the natural world. She is ALWAYS on the lookout for the next story to tell…
