AA Monet

AA Monet (she/her) is a 2x published, award-winning poet with a BA in English and an emphasis in language, writing, and rhetoric from the University of Maryland (UMD), College Park. She is an African American female who fell in love with words while in a high school English class. Since then, AA Monet focuses on creating spaces for everyone's emotions to freely and safely exist.

Born and raised in Omaha, NE, AA Monet now resides in Summerlin, NV. Her publications include: Published poetry collection through UMD titled "The Story of Overlooked Masterpieces" in 2017; Self-published poetry book "Lost And Found" in 2021; Published poem in Omaha Star Newspaper in 2023; Published interview feature for the literary journal, The Aerial Perspective, in 2024; Published poem in I Be Black Girl's Zine in 2024; Audiobook release of the author reading "Lost And Found" on Spotify in 2024; "I AAM Manifestations/Affirmations for Black Women" on all streaming platforms in 2025; and an upcoming children's book released in June of 2025.
