Pat Mitchell has dreamed of being an author ever since 5th grade, when her sarcastic essays made her homeroom teacher laugh and ask for more. Goodbye Pound Cake is Pat’s first work of fiction. Pat understands the challenges of girls like Michelle and Mandy from real-life experience. She has both run and walked over the bridge in the story, and also enjoys listening to Elvis.
She currently lives in North Providence, Rhode Island with her 3 rescues - dog Harry, and cats Mishi and Abbey. Pat is fascinated by the dynamics of mother daughter relationships and wrote her first book, A Girl from the Hill – My Mother’s Journey from Italian Girl to American Woman as a tribute to her own mother.
