Joseph Lovell

My love for telling stories came from my father. He was born in 1906 and as a young man, traveled extensively in southeastern United States. Through the years, I sat at his feet, soaking in the tales he wove about his experiences. While growing up he encouraged me to pay attention to the small details of life, to enjoy the simple things, to absorb them deep into my memory. About ten years ago I began to put those memories and stories to ink and pen, writing and rewriting the details as they came flowing back to my mind. With much encouragement from family and friends I now share them with you. They are Echoes of Sandy Creek.
