Victoria Preston

Victoria Preston’s first book, ‘We are Pilgrims – Journeys in Search of Ourselves’ (pub. Hurst, 2020) was praised as ‘superbly researched’ by California Review of Books and ‘remarkable for its lyricism and the beauty of its prose’ by the Confraternity of Pilgrims to Rome. It explores why so many of us take to the road in search of meaning. The book emerged from the author’s encounters with cultural and religious sites across the world while working as an advisor in strategic communications. Victoria is an Associate Fellow at King’s Centre for Strategic Communications (KCSC) which she helped create in 2016. Victoria’s deep admiration for those who serve in the military has inspired her forthcoming history of women in combat, Tales of Women Warriors.
