Taryn Moir

Dr Taryn Moir is registered as a Practitioner Senior Educational Psychologist. She has been practicing within a local authority for nearly ten years, working effectively at the levels of casework/consultancy, project work, policy development and in-service training. She has been an honorary lecturer at the University of Strathclyde and has experience of teaching within this setting.

Dr Taryn Moir is a Review Editor for two international journals. She has been on the Scottish Division of Educational Psychologists Executive Committee and Scottish Educational Psychologists Training Committee. She is a supervisor and Lead Assessor of the Qualification in Educational Psychology (Scotland) (Stage 2- level 12). She is a Chartered member and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and Scottish Division of Educational Psychologists and a Registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health & Care Professionals Council.

Dr Taryn Moir has written extensively and published in international research journals on topics including metacognition, teaching and learning, restorative approaches, and nurturing practices.

Dr Taryn Moir has presented widely at international conferences most recently in Scotland, Japan and Cyprus.
