Vir McCoy

Vir McCoy is a teacher, healer, author, lecturer and musician. Vir studied ecology and environmental studies at UC Berkeley, and later studied bodywork and healing modalities: receiving advanced training in somatic, reiki, neuromuscular reprogramming, Rolfing and Feldenkrais methods.

After suffering from Lyme disease from 2001-2009, Vir made a remarkable and full recovery by developing his own protocol based on the sensory and intuitive information he was receiving. He wrote a book called “Liberating Lyme” that details his healing published in 2020. Vir developed a healing modality called Intuitive Access, to help those who have chronic illness and pain, and help themselves heal. He applied these same tools when again dealing with Long Haul Covid from 2020-2022. He documents this in his book on Inner Traditions “Healing Therapies for Long Covid” 2023. A key component of Vir’s philosophy is accessing the intuition for medicines specific to your body. This tool can be applied to many different walks of life.

He teaches and lectures at workshops and events as well as working with private clients. In addition to Intuitive teachings, Vir has a broad knowledge base of medicines, including Western medicines, herbs, foods, and homeopathics.

Vir is also an accomplished musician and has recorded over 200 original songs in many different genres. Vir has had song placement with Spike Lee. He has toured the U.S. in different projects including the Mickey Hart Band as well as Hamsa Lila and in his current band, The Dogon
