Olaf Arlinghaus studied economics in Germany, Spain and Venezuela. After he had earned his master degree he started working as a Management Consultant at Daimler Benz Interservices (debis). After a few years he took charge of “Target-Group-Management” at Raab Karcher Energieservice GmbH (a fully owned subsidiary of eOn AG). Olaf Arlinghaus moved on to become chief financial officer at “Neue-Markt”-listed Vectron Systems AG in autumn 1997. Olaf Arlinghaus was head of Finance & Controlling as well as of Business Development & Organisation. He was responsible for the initial public offering and various national and international M&A-deals.
In summer 2003 Olaf Arlinghaus was appointed professor for Business Administration at the University of Applied Sciences, Münster, with focus on International Management. He is frequently booked as keynote-speaker, consultant and coach. Olaf Arlinghaus owns a Management consulting company specializing in the fields of mergers & aquisitions, change management, motivation, restructuring, turnaround and growth-Management.
Additionally, Olaf Arlinghaus is member of several supervisory boards and committees. He has published various management reports and is the editor of numerous monographs on topics such as Going Public or Turnaround Management. Olaf Arlinghaus he has been awarded the „Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu European Technology Fast 500 Winner-Price 2001“ and has been elected “Professor of the Year” in 2015 (awarded by the Unicum Group under the patronage of the German Ministry of Education and the German Ministery of Economy and Energy).
