Tracey Dene Powell is a songwriter, scriptwriter and poet from England. Her musical `Phantom Love' (a story based in WW1 trenches) was performed at Curve theatre, Leicester in 2014 and later released as a drama for radio. Her song `Lead me by a rainbow' (dedicated to her late sister) reached the semi finals in the UK Song Writing Competition and she has been nominated twice as `Artist Of The Week' on BBC Radio Leicester. Her plays have been performed in Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Rutland.
In 2020 her mentor and father figure passed away suddenly; she used her writing skills as a poet to help cope with the trauma. Her poetry has now been published in her first book `My Little Book Of Grief'. This book is a collection of her personal poems along the timeline of her deep pain, from the rawness of early grief to reflection and hope.
Tracey is no stranger to death having lost both her parents three months apart at the age of 27 and over the years a baby, a sister, two brothers and close friends. Today, she is using her writing and experience of grief help support those who are struggling on their own journey and her book `My Little Book Of Grief' offers comfort and hope to those going through dark times with grief and depression.
