Theron Pummer

Theron Pummer is a Senior Lecturer in Philosophy at the University of St Andrews, and Director of the Centre for Ethics, Philosophy and Public Affairs. Previously he was a Junior Research Fellow in Philosophy at the University of Oxford. He works primarily in ethics.

He is the author of The Rules of Rescue: Cost, Distance, and Effective Altruism (Oxford University Press, 2023), and co-editor of Effective Altruism: Philosophical Issues (Oxford University Press, 2019).
